The extension on the east side was planned by the studio. It appears modest and fits into the overall architecture of the Ciäsa Granda without any problems. On the basis of historical research, it must even be assumed that such an extension already existed on this east side. New window openings were deliberately omitted, particularly because an addition of the rich east façade would appear inauthentic. For this reason, the extension is accorded insignificant value in terms of external architecture, and the viewer's eye is concentrated on the previous historically valuable side of the façade. The extension is very well integrated both architecturally and in terms of the museum process. The idea of arranging the art exhibition hall underground is very positive in several respects. On the one hand, it solves the often required security problem in an extremely simple way; on the other hand, a lot of additional exhibition space has been created.
