Castasegna - 2000
The church of San Giovanni was first mentioned in 1409. A chapel certainly existed earlier, as Bergell was an important transit route at that time. In 1552, Castasegna, like the other churches in Bergell, converted to the Reformation. In 1834, the building was raised by one floor, creating a space for the primary school. The school operated until 1879. In 1965, the church was renovated again. The simple benches were replaced with new ones featuring backrests and electric heating. In 2000, the studio refurbished the foundations, the floor, the paneling, as well as the benches and the lighting.
