Description

The three irregular buildings are grouped around a central square like random blocks. The shapes of the two new buildings are based on the polygonal ground plan of the existing house “ Chesa Spagnola”. With its building volumes, the ensemble blends harmoniously into the surrounding village structure.

Due to the polygonal ground plans, the houses change their character depending on the angle from which they are viewed; sometimes they appear bulky and wide, sometimes narrow and slender, or the façades appear foreshortened in perspective. The confusion is heightened by the shadow effect on the surfaces depending on the lighting conditions and the different reflections on the windows.
