Chesa Planta in Samedan

We are very pleased to have been awarded the contract for the planning of the renovation and restoration works at Chesa Planta. Chesa Planta in Samedan is one of the most important and beautiful manor houses in the Engadin. The building dates back to the late 16th century and was owned by the von Salis family for more than 200 years before passing to the von Planta family in 1817. At the request of four female descendants of the von Planta family, the property was transferred into a public-law foundation in 1943. Since then, Chesa Planta Samedan has been open to the public as a cultural center. Today, the house is home to a public Romansh library as well as a living museum that vividly conveys the original domestic culture of Engadin noble families from the 18th and 19th centuries.
